The Random Tag Team Competition is an opportunity for music writers to pool their inspiriations with another writer and come up with the best piece possible. The teams will be randomly selected by a program called The Hat, and then everybody is told their team and given a period of time to work on their songs. At the end of this period, the teams will face each other in a double-elimination tournament, as two pieces go at it head to head at a time! The points are awarded to the winner of the final match, the runner-up of the final match, and 3rd place is the team with the best record of wins and losses.
