I think the concept behind the piece is very interesting, especially applying it to a rock-y idiom... metal needs more of this approach imo rather than resorting to (like you mention) riff salads. Your use of modality is cool too, you obviously really understand the harmonic implications and how to exploit them (m. 17/18!)There are a few parts which I think could do with a few tweaks, maybe some more syncopation and overt dissonance in theme 2, and a perhaps a few alterations in phrasing at D... I personally think this is qute restrained in terms of 'shred', all the whizzy bits serve the piece as a whole... good skills :)

I hate your theory knowledge, Dave. I really do. I loved that Dm7 in the main theme. It's so subtle and awesome! I found it slightly too slow in places for that style of music, but it managed to keep my attention quite easily, so kudos to you!

awesome tune, i love that harmonised lick at measure 22! my problem is the homorhythmic sections of 16th notes (mainly section C), which sound a bit messy and confused.. and some of the wankery shred doesn't appeal to me. however, i ♥ section H. nic

I thought it was really cool! Like I said in your other song, your knowledge is vast, although I hate Locrian mode :) Section C is my fav. Section K is nice, too; though, section L seems a bit forced. Overall, awesome song.

Look at letter E. I'm not sure how the key of Eb can denote Bb ionian. Are you? Too much parallel 5th power chord motion for my liking. However you do have some cool harmonies. A simple yet effective bass part at letter J. I liked it. Keep writing.
