| Comment: | I had been feeling like this song was lacking something, and I was hating the guitar solo... so I cut it out, and put something totally different in its place. I'm more happy with it now. |

You've got some excellent ideas, but the 4x repeats, a few awkward pauses and the ending totally destroyed the momentum and flow. Also the rhythm in section D does not seem to flow well at all. I loved the jazz guitar in section H...that is until m84 when you started repeating individual notes over and over. Once again that destroyed the mood and flow for me. Section J has a real nice progression, but 8 bars of power chords repeated 4x serves no real purpose. I love how you worked the bass in so harmonically with the guitars, and the overall sound and feel is excellent, I just think that some of the areas I mentioned need some work.

Awesome piece - but man, your style has really changed, haha. At first I was a bit unsure about part A, it seemed a bit tacked on, but when it recurs later in the piece it all comes into focus nicely, so that was good that you brought that back in. I loved all of the various themes, and I really loved that build-up/ending section - that had great layering and atmosphere, and was a nice climax. Also, it was cool how you didn't just end it in a predictable fashion after the climax. Repetition's maybe a bit much, but certainly with percussion (and possibly also vocals in the earlier sections, NOT the climax though - don't mess with that, haha), any slight monotony it creates would be alleviated. Great work, man - looking forward to more stuff along these lines.

I love the calm yet slightly moody style of the chords and the clean section especially. Great piece overall. Doesn't need a solo IMO- would go against the calm style (whether its a complex solo or a melodic solo). I'm kinda in a mood for Pelican atm and this has a similar feel.

I gave this a 10 last time. I'm not sure what you changed, or if I just perceived it a bit differently, or what. But I think section B arrives with a bit of a shock. And I didn't care for the dissonance of m44. And I think the title to rehearsal J is a bit pretentious, especially since I thought the rest of the song was more interesting. There's nothing really wrong with J. The melody flows well enough. It's a little rhythmically stale, and a touch repetitive though. And the ending left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. The rest of the song was pretty delicious though. Great riffs and great flow. A great composition, on the whole.

that was great but some parts were too repetative, like first clean part. and i liked the version with solo better
